pparaska
If that's a decent running engine, it'll be alot of fun in your ZX! $500 ain't bad for a running engine making 260-280 hp!
DavyZ
Cool! That is a good price for that engine and will be plenty powerful for your ZX. I paid more for less engine (Camaro V8). You did well.
Guest MistaFosta
Jeff, if you lived in cali, id build a turbo 350 or 700r4 for you, but I hate shipping big stuff... Good luck. Check out ebay for it!

Modern Motorsports Ltd
looks great Ahh yes, the beauty of a cheap sbc that still runs fine! I just wish someone would make a drivers side hearder with same configuration as your manifold but in 1-3/4's, dropping down below #5 and #7 would be so nice...... BLKMGK
Congrats - it looks good! With such a light car it ough tto eat plenty of higher horsepower cars with no problems. You'll have fun and a good basis to go even faster if you choose. For that matter, if you used good pistons a shot of NOS will bring that HP up a good bit pretty cheaply. As for a trans - you're not far from me. Try cheking out the Want Ads that are put out by the Auto Trader folks - most an 7-11 will have them. There are ALWAYS tons of transmissions in there. I'd say go for a 700R4 or 200R4 before I'd go th350. There are too many highways around here where people fly along at 75+. Having driven these roads in a Vega with 4.30 gears, a th400, and itty bitty tires let me tell you it's no fun! Thank God I had no tach in that car - I'd have cried
Guest Anonymous
I need to get to a 7-11 what kind of stall converter should I use? Im guessing for exhaust Im going to go with 2.5 dual out both sides of the car right infount of the rear tire unless I find a easy way to run it out the back Jeff
