spiff
Mustang shifter, no snags. Bought the knob of ebay. I just need to re-tap the thread. Without the center console in place but what about when you put the center console back on?

spiff
No thats fine Probably just depends on what type of shifter you use and maybe there are som small differences on the center console between different year z's?
CoastGuardZ
Its no problem. I can video it for you if you would like to see. I'm having the same issue... I have some unknowns though... Pretty sure my T-5 is from an 83ZXT and I'm pretty sure I have a stock Mustang lever. I picked up the trans as is with the complete engine. I'd rather not cut the console if I can avoid it. I would try a stock Nissan shifter if I had reasonable suspicion that it would work and I get my hands on one. Grnsky- can you post a picture of the console on? My setup looks almost identical to yours and I'd love to see what your console looks like. Thanks!
davek
Hey coastguard I sure would like to see the shifter with the console installed as well. seems odd there would be that much diff from one car to the next. I have an S30 and planning to put my donor 280ZXT engine & T5 tranny in there. Cutting the console is really bugging me. How about some pictures guys.
