temporarily removing drip rail?

So apon search all I found was how to remove the rail for a permanant shaved look. I do not want to go this route as it will add time to the project. However, how do I get this darn thing off so I can finish body work. I want to make sure there is no rust around that area and also have it powdercoated. Do I just pry it off? Is there a trick so it doesn't get bent?

I was able to just pull on mine and persuade a little with a screw driver and it came off easily

What I did to get mine off and keep from ruining it, was start at the back corner and with a small screwdriver (very small) very very carefully leverage out that corner. It kinda comes up and out a tad. Once that lets go and you have enough to grab with your fingers, just very carefully pull it off.

 

MIne came off on both sides with no fuss or problem. Once I got it started it was cake.

You all are awesome. In just minutes while making breakfast I got my answer. I thought that was all there was to it but apon first trying and it didn't come easily I thought better to ask. I will have it removed by the end of day.

Roll it off from the bottom. It will leterally come right out. Start underneight and roll it up on the end toward the back. Once it gets started youll be golden.

Just be careful where you put leverage to get the trim off with a screw driver. I have slight dents every 10 inches or so on the roof, lol. I have to prep it for paint anyways
