Hey There! im not sure if this goes in here or not so if it doesnt im sorry.

Im looking for a 240 or 260z, so i am keeping an eye out of carpoint and all that.

anyways i came across 2 cars,

http://carpoint.ninemsn.com.au/DesktopDefault.aspx?UsedCarID=1350427&TabID=3328&Alias=carpointau

And

http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsales/!cs_content.private_vehicle?vehicle_id=2686080&current_rec=15&used_rec=1&total_rec=33&sort_type=2&total_rec=33&sort_type=2&make_id=37&search_distance=25

Now i want a manual and the first one is not a manual but the 2nd is.

Both are 6's.

Can you guys tell me what you think and how much i should be paying for either.

Cheers Ben-o

I'm not good at pricing Z's, especially overseas but i will tell you this, they're both 2+2's and tend not to be as valuble as the coupes... at least here in the states anyway. My suggestion is try getting on-site to look at a Z for any signs of rust, especially the front framerails. If you could start off with a clean chassis, you'll be ahead of the game. Good luck with your search and welcome to HybridZ.

$6k AUD (~$4500 US) isn't to bad for a clean Z. Of course as mentioned look at it in person and check all the trouble spots and see how much rust it actually has. Ask the owner if you can use a screw driver or something similar to poke around to look for rust, ie. floor boards, frame rails, batter tray.

All depends on where the rust is and how bad, also would you do the repair work yourself or take it to a shop if there is rust. Rust repair takes a lot of time and or a lot of money. If you're looking for a car and don't want to do a lot of work then anything more than surface rust I'd pass on it. If theres substantial rust and you don't mind doing work and or paying more for the repair talk him down. In the end it's worth only as much as you're willing to pay.
