Guest traub83
Hey all im looking for a fuel injection setup for my 383, that I will be able to get a supercharger for, I like the tpi systems however I cannot find any info on them and the superchargers for them are skyhigh!!! Do any of you guys know of fuel injection systems that I can buy a decent s/c for that wont cost me 5 grand lol... I was looking at getting the edelbrock proflo system and supercharging it later and now after looking i cant find a supercharger that would work on that system.. Help guys!!!! Guest Gr8White
I don't think you are going to find anything "cheap" if you are converting from a carb to fuel injection. It may be much cheaper in the long run to start with an injected motor that has all of the electronics (i.e. LS-1/2). You can get these drivelines cheap and build it up (with a stroker crank for your "383") to the power level you want (or can afford) with good internals for much cheaper than you could starting from scratch-....just a thought. Sell the 383 and get an LS-1 or 2....
silicone boy
Ditto that. I decided to do everything from scratch, made mistakes along the way, and ended up spending way more in the long run. I mean, my Electromotive system is great, but it was 3 grand! I coulda done better with an LS1 completely injected and built it up from there. v8dats
if you are looking to conver yours look into the holley stealth ram. it comes with just about everything you need and it flows well. i did a quick search and found this post by grumpyvette http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=67411&highlight=stealth+ram check out dmanzo57's gallery (hope he doesnt mind). from what i have read on his previous posts he has had some success with the conversion and seems pretty happy with it.and if you check out the pics you will see that it fits under the stock hood(tight fit). hopefully he will chime in. http://album.hybridz.org/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=7898 also check out the stealth ram website. it has alot of pics of stealth ram equipt cars and share some info on them. http://www.stealthram.com

grumpyvette
"can u use a supercharger for a tpi camaro on it" yes any suprecharger designed for the TPI intake can be adapted to sit the HOLLEY STEALTHRAM, BTW THE STEALTHRAM works even better with the runners PORTED and the runner entrances blended and smoothed http://www.eecis.udel.edu/~davis/z28/winter01/dyno/dyno021105/webpage021105.html http://www.gmhightechperformance.com/tech/0307htp_holleystealth/ btw the steathram intakes 10" tall vs the TPI at 9" (measured from the block wall between the heads)
Guest traub83
well then that is def the route im going to go on this. I will just go ahead and buy the stealth ram and build my motor with 8.5;1 compression and as soon as i get more funds add the s/c to it and whaalaa im done!!! thanks guys that was my only concern on doing this setup was wether or not it would fit. Can u program the stealth ram system to run larger injectors like 50lb or larger just for high boost setups or are you stuck with the 36lb's that it comes with?
