fastzcars
I was looking at the Comp Cams web page a nd noticed that the specs forthe stock LS2 and the comp cams 26915 springs are identical? So I started looking for the Specs and part numbers for the LS7 springs and retainer's. I searched for 3 hours pouring through eveything on the net, and couldn't find it. Maybe someone here working for a GM dealer or have contacts can get the info ? Thanks.
Pop N Wood
Picked up a car mag yesterday (I think Hot Rod) and they had an excellent article on the crate version of the LS7. Only looked at it briefly, but they did have a pic showing the LS7 uses special retainer caps to "prevent galling of the titanium valve stems". Sounds like the LS7 stuff is going to be something new, so might explain why there is not a lot of info on it. BTW, the article was extremely impressive. They had dyno runs showing the crate version makes 600 HP with the "stage 3 cam". They also showed a translucent plastic carb intake manifold on the crate motor. Friggen awesome.
