HeatRaveR
So I've seen wheel adapters that go from 4x114.3, 0-offset to 4x100 +42-offset and the concensus seems to be that they're a pretty reliable solution to fitting wheels. However, I'm wondering what the opinion is on a 2-piece 4-lug to 5-lug adapters in terms of reliability/sturdiness. Modern Motorsports doesn't sell the 2-piece 4-to-5 lug adapters, but Techno Toy Tuning does (http://technotoytuning.com/t3_site_pages/products/wheel_adapters.html). So I'm just wondering if there's an inherent problem with them being 2-piece. I don't plan on drifting or anything hardcore like that, but I do plan the occasional AutoX or road course and don't want my wheels falling off! RB26powered74zcar
I put a easy 400hp thru mine for the last eight years w/o a single issue. I never ran slicks or did any track time with them on though.....
olie05
You may want to check on some of the VW air cooled/ Porsche 914 forums, because alot of those guys are running spacers that convert a 4 lug to 5 lug, using one of the original stud location, just a longer bolt in place of it, with 4 studs attached to the spacer around the bolt circle...
