Guest big_bitty Posted January 26, 2006 Share Posted January 26, 2006 As i have posted in previous replies i have an 87 300zx and an 88 mustang lx 5.0. Now the reason for this post on the z. Should I keep it in z form and try to get it running on the 3.0 turbo, or should i swap it for the 5.0? If I swap it for the 5 litre, i plan on changing some things in the motor. Like the cam to start. I want to go with the trick flow stage 3 cam, which is speced at 248 594, I think, but to do this i am changing the valve springs, rocker arms, pushrods, maf conversion, edelbrock intake , tb and spacer, 30# injectors, and hopefully i will find someone who will be able to help me tune it just right!!! rubin Posted February 23, 2006 Share Posted February 23, 2006 i say put the 5L in the z and the 3L turbo in the stang lots of wiring work but it sure would be interesting just a question, why are you even considering the swap? is the original motor weak/blown?
