Guest ambersdad
Without fail, every time I browse this forum, I am seriously amazed at the ingenuity of the group. I have a 280 ZXT Stroker project in the works and I am always on the prowl for tech articles, links, etc. I probably spend 3 - 4 HOURS per night on here (my fiance hates you folks, BTW) Unfortunately, and I bet I'm not the only one, I forget where I find half the stuff! (Yeah, I'm lazy like the rest of you and don't use "Search" enough) To that end, I came up with a pretty easy solution that I can refer back to at my leisure. I open up the word processing program to use as an online notepad of sorts. This way, I can cut and paste pictures, links, e-mail addresses, relevant posts, notes to "self" etc. When I'm done, I simply "Save As" on my desktop so that I can add to it as I go along. Sorry, no pix or specs for my build yet as it is still in development and it is going to be a BEAST! Here's a hint though...I'm building a show quality, street drivable, Japanese Muscle car that will turn 9's on a bad day! Target date for completion = April 2007. Stay tuned... DavyZ
I do something similar and I have my "Z car files" and numerous tech articles that I have yet to print out. I love hard copies of this good stuff so I can contribute to my own "journal" of everything I particularly like or can possibly use in the future. It's just a great idea! ZR8ED
I've switched to the electronic format of saving tech info website addresses etc. though I do have 3 3" three ring binders full of old Z tech stuff, that has long disappeared from the Web... old Z websites that are no longer on the web etc. Organizing it was a chore, and is in ok condition to this day. The electronic stuff has been more difficult to organize, and I'm sure will take some time to catagorize it into something that I can search from. I will try and fill my spare hd with as much Z stuff as I can before it disappears off the web like so many websites.
