Guest SouthGaZX
if you go carb you dont need a computer... efi you will... jtr manual has drawings/measurements of the mounts.. try doing a search.. 2+2 should be the exact same as far as the engine bay...only diference should be that the back of the car is longer (correct me if im wrong)

Guest tony78_280z
I gots a 78 (first gen body style) 2+2. The tranny mount/crossmember I had to completely fabricate on my own. I dunno about JTR as I used MSA. Which if you read my webpage you will know why I'm saying, "go with the JTR." Also when getting the drive shaft, it's best to mock on up with your old drive shaft and a GM front knuckle. Then take it to a shop in your area that fabricates drive shafts as most people over the phone don't know what a 2+2 is, or that some GM trannys are different lengths. Other than body work, that is all the difficulties I've attributed directly to it being a 2+2.
DavyZ
http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=105770&highlight=ZX+V8+swap I used the SEARCH function and came up with thread. There are a lot of other threads covering the ZX V8 swap. If you don't start using the search function provided for your convenience (which is due dilligence) the admin will start locking your threads. Please read the guidelines/rules of the site... spdsk8r
Motor mounts for the ZX are simple. Just follow the JTR manual dimensions without the setback plates. Just remember to add the thickness of the setback plates to the spacers thickness. Also use the same Chevy truck motor mounts as in the JTR Manual. Here are my mounts.
