Guest college slacker
Hi y'all. Just thought I'd introduce myself around here. As can be seen in my profile I'm a 26 year old grad student here at LSU and am always wanting new toys. I have a '96 Impala SS, but the mods have come to an end for now since student loans are my next priority if/when I graduate and get a job. I wanted to make a V8 Miata, but my 6'0" frame is a bit tall for it. My plans for my Imp are unclear right now. I'd like an LS2 402 stroker conversion, but that's a lil more pricey and difficult than a 383 LT1. Decisions decisions. If any of you who have questions about the LT1 don't get the answer here, feel free to ask the guys at the Impala SS forum. Alright, that's my novel. I look forward to lurking and learning, guys (and yes, I'm well versed in the search function ).

Bartman
You didn't mention any interest in getting a Z. I'm over 6'2" 200 lbs. and I fit quite comfortably. You can definitely put in an LSx or LT1 and get pretty good performance.

But I am a huge fan of sleepers and a Z would be a good one. And if/when I do a motor swap in my Impala I may as well make use of the pulled one, right? welcome!my friend is 6'1" and he has a miata and fits fairly well.. have fun while ur on here! I drove my aunt's Miata last summer and I was looking out the very very top of the windshield. But if I never do get myself a Z I'll still be happy learning about these cars. Thanks for the welcome!
