Lewis Maudlin
OK, I am thinking I am going to switch to the GT2871R. Which do I need? 0.64 A/R or 0.86 A/R? What are pros and cons? I am switching to APEXi FC with commander and Z32 MAF. The 550's will come soon. Thanks for the help
thehelix112
Smaller A/R means lower boost threshold, reduced lag, and less top end. Up to you. Dave
Lewis Maudlin
Yep I found the answer on SR20forums.com. They even had dyno sheets with the same setup. Apparently, the .64 gains 300 to 500 rpms but sacrifices about 23 top end hp. I think the mean hp on the .64 is probably better since the .86 produces at higher rpms. Quicker 60 ft and probably quicker 1/4 mile times.
thehelix112
Assuming a poor setup, maybe. With a decent setup geared towards drag, I doubt it. Dave
