Z-8
I just wanted to share something with everyone that I did while painting my heads with engine paint. My roommate said it was a cool idea, and should be posted, so here it goes. I was painting my engine that I had just received from the machine shop and had to tape up the frieze plugs. That was a PITA. So when I looked at my heads for painting, I looked at the spark plug holes, and the holes that the mounting bolts go through, I cringed. As I was looking at the holes a thought came to me, these holes look like a penny could fit in them. So I crabbed a bunch of loose change and tried them out. Well it turns out that pennies fit in the spark plug holes perfectly! And nickels lay over the mounting holes nicely. I did a search trying to find if someone already mentioned this, but didn't find anything. Well that saved a bunch of time from taping up holes. Hope this helps out my fellow DIYers. Z-8
Forgot to mention that I have a 1995 LT1 out of a caprice cop car. So it has the iron heads.
