Guest z31maniak Posted March 14, 2006 Share Posted March 14, 2006 i have an 86 2+2 it was a slavage car it started overheating and my mechanic said the timing belt needed change so i got that done didnt help added a thermostat since it didnt have one and didnt help finaly a rad wich fixed the problem after siting 3 years drove it for one day put some fresh gas in it parked it started it the next day and the motor was realy hesitant wen i step on the gas its clearly missing or a cylander is dead cant tell why i had a tune up wen i bought the car and only drove it for 6 months and i noticed it has a very exhausty smell and the motor will still heat up wen it stands still but as soon as i touch the accelerator it drops any guess what might be casuing my problem? AK-Z Posted March 18, 2006 Share Posted March 18, 2006 You clearly need to use , and . in your sentences. My guess is that your injectors or the fuel filter are getting clogged. I would of done a compression check rather than a tune up. I would also clean the electrical connections on the injectors with a wire brush.
