Guest brad Posted July 26, 2000 Share Posted July 26, 2000 I'm looking at a 78 280Z to buy for a conversion. It has some rust on the quarterpanels, a bit around the bumper, haven't seen any on floorpans or framerails. There are a few dents here and there, w/ a bit of surface rust on the hood. Interior is poor, but glass is good. Apparently somebody started a V8 conversion on it earlier but did not get far. The engine had been removed (it comes w/ the car), and the tranny (manual) and radiator are gone. The guy only wants $200. Any comments or suggestions? Check out the battery area for acid runs and damage to the metal there. But for 200 thats a pretty good deal. Even if it only needs floors and rails. Good luck. ------------------ Build it. Drive it.
