afbrian13 Posted March 20, 2006 Share Posted March 20, 2006 I just got my car 76 running with a stock 78 engine/5speed tranny combo.everything had been sitting for months. I made sure everything had fresh oil in it but when i start my engine, tranny in neutral, I get a loud squeeling sound out of the tranny. Put it into any gear and you get the same thing.What do you think this could be? I was thinking something basically had a dry startup even though i had plenty of oil.didn't replace the clutch or bearing because they were good, just changed the pilot bushing.Thanks for any ideas.Oh yeah - I got it running on sunday, and today we have snow (NE) what irony Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
