Fuel pressure problem, but LM1 doesnt read it....

Okay im still hunting down a spudder/sluggish feeling my Z gets up top.

now it does it at every boost level, 7, 12, 18psi....

my fuel pressure gauge is on my cowl so i can see it at all times.

at idle its at a solid 40 or so psi..

when i start to drive the gauge fludders, like it was jump around (needle).

go from 40 to like above 60 and you cant even read it thats how fast the needle is jumping around.

if i get off the gas it will stay sorta solid at 40, and it jumps around more when theres a load on it in higher gears.

now i do have a sealing problem on my fuel cell where the fuel sender is at, it sometimes leaks and sometimes flings fuel around inside the car.

i tightened ALL visable -AN fittings and i dont see a leak at all.

now.. werid part.

gauge is reading what i just said but the LM1 is reading a solid AFR reading.

car doesnt go pig rich or stupid lean at all.

solid at 12.0 to some 11's all the time under load.

the car just feels STUPID slow at the boost levels and well it just doesnt feel like a "clean" pull, doesnt rev up smoothly.

compression is good, timing is set, theres enough fuel given, MSnS is spot on (Not the cleanest tune but should run way better then it is at its given tune).

any ideas?

underload its popping and spuddering (shoots flames sometimes)..

i changed the rotor and it helped abit but still does it, cap is new, distributor im guessing is good, coil is brand new, new wires (did it with the old wires), all know grounds are good, plugs are gapped even lower and still does it (i thought it was blowing spark out)...

im lost.

take your fuel filter out of the circut and go drive it, see what happens.

if nothing changes, i'd start to wonder what shape that Aeromotive A-1000.

and just for giggles, get the DVOM on the leads to the fuel pump and see whats going on there.

Update!!!

found a fricken PIN hole size tear in the fuel pressures regulator seal..

couldnt even see it but i put some wd40 on it and start to strech it out some and saw a small little bubbles...

im sure if it was on a carb fuel pressure it wouldnt have mattered much but at 60psi it makes all the difference.

now i gotta find out if Aeromotive sells rebuild kits.

thanks!
