mentallylost
I know that it may sound like a dumb question, but After you have applied your first coat of primer (ppg), and you stand back looking at what you have accomplished. You begin to notice some low spots that need to be filled. And there are a few. Does it matter what kind of utensil used to mark the low spots? A pencil maybe? I want to be able to mark all of the spots while going over the body with a light so I can apply a polyester based filler and not worry about the circles bleeding through later. dr_hunt
after you apply your coat of primer, splatter coat it with some cheap black paint or any color for that matter that shows up, then when you sand it you sand it until you get all the spots off, unless it's a low spot, then it's clearly marked. mentallylost
Thanks for the help y'all. I took the plunge yesterday and began the bodywork on my 83 280zx. I have a long way to go still. So I will probably end up asking a zillion more questions.
