Guest Anonymous
Stripping my ratty interior yesterday I come to see that quite some time ago the door jamb was cut out and a new one welded in. I assume this was because of a wreck, but all that was replaced was the section between the rear door jamb and the center of the 1/4 window, which is a very small area for a wreck! My best guess is a t-done by a truck or a large car that smashed the door and part of the door jamb, but the body is perfect where the door hinges bolt on and the door sill area is perfectly straight and original. The repair work was very very nicely done, so I'm not worried about it. Any reccomendations on a good shop to build a roll cage? I'm planning on having to bring the car elsewhere for it(Nashville, B'ham, or possibly Atlanta) since there aren't any places I'd trust to make me one here and I'm no going to attempt to learn on my own car And any reccomendations on cage design? I'm anal about keeping myself in one piece, I was gonna have extra beefy door beams put in among other things. ------------------ Morgan morgan@z31.com http://carfiche.com http://z31.com
J Taylor
I doubt you would want to drive this far but there is a place here in mobile that supposedly does sweet work but not all that cheap. They did a 10pt in my friend's 91 GT and it looks really nice. I still have that 10 pt in pieces if you are interested....I'm sure I will never use it.
