olie05
I was wondering if the MSD 6A and the MSD SCI are essentially the same thing? Looking at the descriptions for both, it seems that the only difference is that the SCI goes up to and past 10,000rpm, and the 6A doesn't advertise anything like that. just looking for cheaper alternatives on ebay
ProjectSR20
Not too sure on the exact specs on them but I did have a SCI in my old civic. I worked great, never had a single problem. The spark was holding to around 8000 rpm+.
HeatRaveR
The MSD SCI is just a recolored 6A, for marketing purposes. Another alternative is the Crane Hi6 ignitions. They're comparable in performance and don't require pills to set the rev limiter on the models equipped with one.
331CI 280z
I like the MSD, and have the billet distributoer and start/ retard controller as well. Crane is good, but all the big drag racers use MSD. usually 2 mags per Nitro motor
