Oil burn effect emission numbers?

I am ignorant regarding the chemistry of tail pipe emissions. I think that rich will produce HC and lean will produce CO? Right? Wrong? Well anyhow, if the motor is burning some oil (lets say 1 quart every 2000miles for example) how does that effect emissions readings? Synthetic vs. Natural have any effect?

This is purely a question for discussion. I am not having any troubles with my car.

Anytime when there is excess hydrocarbon in the combustion, there will be HC. Depending on how hot the combustion and how combustable the excess HC is, some of that excess HC will be burned into CO.

The bottom line is, excess hydrocarbon(fuel or oil) always lead to incomplete combustion; incomplete combustion leads to higher HC/CO reading.

Lean burn is associated with higher NOx reading.
