Lewis Maudlin
OK, I have disconnected the mbc. I have replaced the Freddy BOV with another Freddy. I believe that the problem is the BOV. I believe it is leaking boost at 7-9 psi. Apparently this is very common with that BOV. My boost is getting to 7-10 psi, falling or stalling for 2 seconds, then spooling up but only as a factor of rpm. I figure it is still leaking, the GT2871R just puts out enough air to continue for the boost to increase. The rest of the piping does not appear to leak. Also, if there was a leak in the rest of the piping, the boost probably would not increase after stalling. Is my reasoning correct? Should I just fork out the dough and get the HKS SSQV with recirculation kit? Does it work reliably? I plan on running 17psi for daily driving. SR240Z
can you adjust the setting on top of the bov to tighten the spring maybe? i dont see why its leaking at such low boost
Lewis Maudlin
I broke down and got an HKS SSQV. It should help my issue. Then if there is another problem, I will know it isn't my cheapo ebay BOV.
