Lunar240z
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7619311493 cant wait to get this baby home so i can finally get some work done. now 1 question, since the majority of welding i will be doing will be on mild steel, should i use a large C02 bottle [since it's cheaper] , and get a smaller argon bottle for aluminum? [stainless too?] or just use argon all the time?
OlderThanMe
umm...CO2? CO2 is an active gas and will destroy your torch because the tungsten will explode the second you strike an arc. You only want to use argon for TIG...you can use CO2 for MIG to get better penetration but NOT TIG. TIG is Tungsten Inert Gas...so no active gasses...sorry... Lunar240z
a dynasty is what i originally wanted, but i just couldn't muster up the dough. i plan on making an aluminum dash too btw... using some of the drafting skills i learned in a sheetmetal pre-apprentice class. OlderThanMe
looks like a hard shape to create...good luck. My dash weighs like 3 pounds and I used .063 3003 series aluminium. It's just a hair thick
