s3079893
I guys, from experiance, which clutch have you guys found to be the best for a 5.0L small block?
74_5.0L_Z
My combination is set-up for autocross, so I don't use drag slicks. My car weighs 2700 full of fuel with me in it, and has ~320 hp at the rear wheels. I am using the king Cobra clutch disk and pressure plate. I have had no troubles with clutch slippage since I installed it. I don't know how this clutch would perform under hard launches with drag slicks, but for me it works well. s3079893
that actually sounds pretty close to the setup i want to run, except a bit more weight. How heavy is the clutch pedal btw?
74_5.0L_Z
My pedal is fairly light, and the clutch disengages about halfway through the pedal throw. I have a Wildwood 7/8" clutch master cylinder and a Tilton hydraulic throw out bearing. The details of my clutch set-up are in some of my older posts like this one: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=87797&highlight=clutch
s3079893
sweet thx mate. because i'm using a tr3650 gearbox out of a ford falcon xr8 (i think it's also in the new mustang 5spd). I need a xr8 clutch disc with a 5.0L clutch housing (possibly king cobra). I no that this is a bit queer but aparently the input splines between the t5 and tr3650 (although have the same diameter and amount of splines) aren't the same.
