lazycyril
any fuel being pumped? pressure? kink in hose somewhere?
EMWHYR0HEN
I think you need to physically check if fuel is coming through by taking off the fuel line that goes to your fuel rail and running the fuel pump. if there is fuel coming through, you're problems somwhere else. Guest sloride
no fuel to fuel filter so would i be right in saying it's in the tank meaning pump again thanks
Guest Heuristicism
Did you check for: gas in the tank (bad gauge), leaks in lines, bad fuse, bad wiring to the pump, bad pump (used??), tank gunk, bad filter, etc. Start from the beginning. You had a Walbro, now you have a stock? Well ok. Used? You will have to go thru each of the (above mentioned) items one by one to figure out why you have no fuel. Guest sloride
i took line off before fuel filter and after fuel filter no gas. problem seems to be in the tank and yes there is gas in tank if i had bad fuse or bad wire pump would not come on but pump comes on primes for 2 or 3 sec. shuts off with key in the on position when i turn to start nothing it just turns over and won't start . i am just going to take pump back to carquest thanks

cheftrd
You need to check to see if the pump is getting voltage while cranking. It's supposed to turn off after a few seconds if the ECU doesn't see engine rotation. If it turns on, and you can hear it at ign-on, you should get some gas while cranking. The chances of a new pump being completely bad are almost zero.
Guest Jason84NA-T
If the pump were not running I would guess it's either the fuel pump relay, wiring or fuel pump circuit in the ECU. Pull the ECU and look for some fried traces along the bottom. If nothing else gets power to the pump except hard wiring it, replace the ECU and see if it works. If the pump is running but no gas is getting up front it's either a problem in the lines, or the pump itself. Sometimes the pressure relief valves fail.... Guest sloride
sorry to bore you guys with same question but i'm on my third pump and it is not getting any better. Quick run pump is new from carquest yes there is gas(full tank) no kinks in lines good presure to rail car starts runs good for about 30 sec then stalls even if i step the gas nothing. sometimes when i start it and it stalls i can catch it by stepping the gas. Now that is not every time sometimes it starts and just runs normal.Once the car is running and stays running it runs good at any speed with good response and no hesitation. Guest Jason84NA-T
Try another ECU if you can get one to test, the 30 second problem sounds rather familiar...
