MONGO510
Is $100 for a 200R4 a good deal? What are they worth in stock condition? (Chevrolet application) (I am financing my swap by wheeling and dealing. Thought I could make a few on this. What do you think?)
Mike kZ
What's it from, what's it going behind?
MONGO510
Came out of a caprice I believe.
Mike kZ
Caprices came with a 700r4. What engine will this 200r4 go behind?
MONGO510
I was going to resell the trany. I am going to use a T56. I wondered if there was any money to be made in the sale of the 2004R. I would have to pay $100 for it.
Mike kZ
Most 200r4s were behind 6 cylinders. Unless this is a Grand National tranny, it's probably not very strong if stock. You may be able to make some money on it.
A. G. Olphart
I'd pass in your situation. There is a short list of 200R4s with performance valve bodies, and one from the Caprice isn't on it; for a performance oriented person, what you have is a core in search of a valve body. Stock, they have a reputation for breaking. Not a bad price for a good core, if you planned on building it. .
