zane9000
Why is there a vacuum line going to the stock FPRs? I understand that RRFPRs need it so it can increase pressure under boost, but why would the stock ones need it? Isnt there job to provide constant fuel pressure? I can see that on the NA FPR maybe it would be used to open and shut a valve inside, but on the Turbo FPR it would need to be on in both pressure and vacuum states. I was just hoping someone could clear that up for me, thanks. -Warren
cygnusx1
Stock FPR is really a LRFPR. It lowers the fuel pressure during vacuum to maintain a constant pressure differential at all engine loads. I guess it was just easier for the original programmers to calculate injector open time using a constant delta fuel pressure for all non boost conditions.
