DavyZ Posted March 1, 2001 Share Posted March 1, 2001 I believe you can pull a rear end out of a Z at the junkyard or order one from Z-Parts or one of the other parts places. Ray Posted March 1, 2001 Share Posted March 1, 2001 Get another rearend, What is usually done to make a lincon locker or okie posi is to weld the spider gears to the carier with a nickel welding rod. You cant really fix it once it is done you will have to replace the rearend. R200's are fairly easy to find so replacement souldn't be a problem. We do have a Zonly yard down here so I will probably not have a problem finding another r200...price might be more than expected tho here in SoCA. I'm fairly limited on experience doing major work on cars and have NO experience with Z's. Could I get a blow-by-blow of how to take out/replace a rearend in these cars? We could pull it with my tools and swap out yours, The cost... Seeing as how i havent bought the car yet ill wait to respond to that one, but its looking good so far.
