Guest TheGodfather
I have an 83 280zxt and i want to put a custom exaust from the turbo, and i want to know if this is possible with the egr sensor thing, and oxygen sensor on the downpipe? is it possible to get rid of the down pipe all together or what, the angles are 90 degrees and if i could change that it would be nice, I want NO cat, just a pipe that goes form the turbo outlet to the muffler. is this possible? if not what is? Thanks Dan
savageskaterkid
Ummmm...Without a downpipe, its impossible to connect the turbo to the muffler. Y not just get a 90' elbow, and run no pipes at all?
veritech-z
It should be possible to engineer a BETTER downpipe, but I really doubt you would be happy with no downpipe (read:no EXHAUST SYSTEM) at all from a fume/noise standpoint. There should be performance exhausts available from companies on the net, and you can always make your own if you are handy. Summit sells oxygen sensor dummy plugs to delete O2 sensors from your car, so you could look into that if you wanted to go that route, but O2 sensors are involved in making sure your A/F R is accurate so it may not be the best idea to fiddle with them. savageskaterkid
I run without an exhaust, and it is quite loud, and fumey. Plan on building an exhaust system later, because sumthin tells me that even the L28e(t) will start to bother me.
