mario_82_ZXT
This is for my 78 280z. How the heck do you remove the trim panels??? The one that covers the expansion tank(???) and the one opposite of it (past the strut towers). I really don't want to break them, and the brackets that hold the hydraulics seem welded in. Ideas??? Thanks, Mario
Lunar240z
if youre talking about the plastic interior panels, theres little plastic rivets. push the centers out to take them off, and good luck finding the centers when they drop into the body... mario_82_ZXT
I've already removed all the rivets. Now I just need to get the damn panels out. I heard I might get a little more clearance by removing the ones with speakers first. Mario
OlderThanMe
I don't know if your ZX is the same as my S30 but I had to remove the rear interior panel to get the side panels out.
COZY Z COLE
This is for my 78 280z Thanks' date=' Mario[/quote'] He's removing panels in a 280Z I believe and having done Z and ZX panels the key is the over lap and under lap of each panel. You have to sometimes start 2 or 3 panels before the one you want to remove. When putting them back on you need to go in the reverse order of the removal. First one off is the last one on. mario_82_ZXT
The main problem was the frame rail is so high and the hydraulic's bracket is too low.... The one on the evap canister side seems like it was installed then the hydraulic bracket welded on.... We almost had it out by cutting like a 1 inch strip off the bottom and the it snapped Oh well... maybe I'll learn to use fiberglass and make a 2 peice one myself.
