fl327 Posted May 15, 2001 Share Posted May 15, 2001 hey my hood latch system just called it quits on me, the cable wont pull the latch open, and ive been having problems since ive first bought this car, and i want to switch to locking hoodpins, just got the hoodpins in the mail today, and im wondering how do you hoook them up, since they were designed for hoods that open the other way???? has anyone made a bracket for them to work??? thanx yall Len Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

fl327 Posted May 16, 2001 Author Share Posted May 16, 2001 ive got the mr. gasket locking hood pins, i think lonehdrider has the same kind, i saw a picture of them on his site and his thread about the inspection lid mods he did, hey mr. lonehdrider, are you there, i was wondering if you did the same thing i read on a past thread, where you put the retaining bits in place of the rubber hood stops towards where the hood rests?????? do you have a recipe for them? im emailing you right now... I mounted them inboard of the rubber bumpers slightly, I fold down a portion of that lip that sticks up and drilled it for the pins..
