Guest Andrew240
After taking a closer look at my donor F54/P90A, I've decided I have several rings that appear to be stuck, and some corrosion that will require a rebore to remove. My valves are just barely within spec, but I will replace them now, instead of doing it later. I could sure use some help sourcing some of the basics for this rebuild. Could someone please, PLEASE tell me where to get: P90A Valve springs. My inners and outers measure to be compressed too short. (I'm in the process of converting to solid rocker perches) Intake and Exhaust valves. I'm just looking for stock replacements on these. Valve guides. For stock diameter valves. Rod bearings (big and little end), and main bearings. I'll be purchasing the arizonazcar.com piston set that includes the rings pistons and pins, so I should be ok there. Does anybody know if anything special needs to be done to the L24 rods to accept the floating pins that the arizonazcar.com kit uses? Thanks!!! Administrators BRAAP Posted August 25, 2006 Administrators Share Posted August 25, 2006 We can source valves, springs, stem seals, gaskets Clevite 77 rod and main bearings, etc. Also, I recommend you use the Felpro Viton stem seals as they will last much longer and also allow for more retainer to seal clearance for a larger cam. Speaking of larger cams, are planning to go to larger cam in the in future? For prices on the parts you need, post us at the address listed below with the items you need, (any “over†and “under†sizes that apply as well), and we can send you a itemized quote for those parts. ruschmotorsports@hotmail.com Thank you, Paul Ruschman The Viton Stem seals as installed on a P-Rieths custom N-42 head…

Thanks!!![/quote'] Your rods do not have bearings in the little end, stock it is a press fit. Since you are talking about getting floating pins then you need to get the little end bushed (a bronze bushing pressed in to act as a bearing) then have oil holes drilled into the small end that go through the bronze bushing so you can have lubrication. I am sure BRAAP can help you with that and keep you from making novice mistakes. Dragonfly
Guest Andrew240
Great! I'll be getting in touch with BRAAP as soon as I get the thing yanked out and at the machine shop. I've never done a 'real' engine buildup, so I would appreciate anybody preventing me from making a novice mistake. Thanks again guys!!
