datsun79z
The digital clock in my ZX is quite bright with headlights off, but very dim with headlights on. Can anyone (pardon the pun) shed some some light on the subject? Thanks; Mike Hintz
Mike kZ
That sounds normal. With the headlights off, you are driving in day light so the light is bright. With head lights on, you are driving in the dark, and don't need the clock light to be so bright, so it is dimmed. My daily driver Dodge does the same thing. datsun79z
Kinda like the interior light not working with headlights off. The Japanese problably figured if you don't need headlights you most likely don't need the use of an interior light. Mike Hintz

Don't know about that one Mike... Every morning I approach my car, its dark, my headlights are off (hopefully)... but it sure is nice to see the interior light when I open the door

datsun79z
It is the glove box light that only functions when the headlights are on. The dome light should functon regardless of the headlights. Mike Hintz
