Cable Posted October 1, 2006 Share Posted October 1, 2006 The 454 is running now and it sounds awesome!!! I had the exhaust installed on Friday afternoon. I've driven it about 50 miles now, including to the local Sonic for Friday night. It drew a small crowd. :bigthumb: Runs pretty good, still needs alittle carb tuning. However, the carb I have now is only a 650 cfm Double Pumper Holley. Later I'll be stepping up to at least a 800-850. I haven't rev'd above 3000 yet due to the fact that I didn't install the inter valve springs when I was assembling the heads. I wanted the spring pressure low to make the cam break-in easier. Next weekend I'll prob tear off the valvetrain and swap in the inter valvesprings. After that is taken care of I'll be able to rev the motor freely.
