Guest Anonymous
I just got new tires and while winston had it on the rack they showed me that there was some play between a few things up front.. that is what causes my steering wheel to shimmy... anyway they said i need to replace the inner tie rod and a few other things.. total with an allignment is $398.03. The cost of the tie rod was $128. So these usually need to be replaced or just need new bushings? That is what he pointed out, the cracked bushing. Something about strut rods and the boots for the steering rack. Fraga [ August 04, 2001: Message edited by: Fraga280 ]
Drax240z
The bushings wear. Remember how old the car is, the stock rubber just doesn't last. I put urethane bushings in my whole front end. Total cost was somewhere around $125canadian for all the front end stuff. It wasn't that hard to do really, my problem is that "while its apart, I might as well _____" Seems to be a plague on this board.
Dp351zcar
"while its apart, I might as well _______" a plague on this board? You mean I am not the only one? I don't think I will ever get it put back together. Don
Drax240z
Well Pete's taken 11 years to 'fix some rust'. I've taken 16 months to do an 'engine swap'. And I am sure everyone else on this board can relate.
