xxjoeyxxeb
Hey guys, I have been bugging some people on here trying to find out about doing my first bodywork/paint job on a car. Last night while searching on the internet, who knew... I found a really good site and I wanted to share it. They have great info for paints, primers, bodywork, custom stuff, and much more! http://www.hotrodders.com/forum/hotrodders-knowledge-base-body-exterior-74801.html http://www.hotrodders.com/kb/browselinks.php?c=43 http://www.hotrodders.com/kb/browselinks.php?c=

Two40MuscleZ
I concur great site. However, if you want pretty much the same information get with RacerX in the HZ Forum(s). He can field your individual questions directled related toward your specific application needs; i.e. he brings with him, a wealth of knowledge from the automotive restoration/paint field. xxjoeyxxeb
Yes, RacerX is amazing. But I have bugged him a lot lately, and I'm sure other people have PMed him, this is just to help lower his PM intake/day.
Two40MuscleZ
Joey: If I know Ernie, he won't mind and if he does then you can refer your questions to me! But asking for genuine information is not bugging someone. Most of the people on HZ are more than willing to help someone with a question or problem they are encountering. xxjoeyxxeb
I'm sure he doesn't mind at all. I know I like to help out whenever I can, but I dont have the knowledge as many people on this site have, yet..
mrkopsho
I've found that all the info in the world will only do good if you have time with your spray equipment. You can tell a guy how to paint and prep a car till your blue in the face but untill he pulls the trigger its all just book smarts. Practice with your gun on test panels, old junkers, anything before you try to paint your car. Every paint line has its own attitude for lack of a better word. polyesters, urethanes, acrylics, lacquers all have spray different and have different mix ratios so there is only one way to learn and that’s to practice. xxjoeyxxeb
Thanks, Ya, I have some old panels I'm gonna put some dents in and completely do what I need to to the Z before I attack that.
