cybermecium
Has anyone who has done a V8 SBC swap used a Muncie 4spd M21 transmission WITH a Gear Vendors over/underdrive? I think this would be pretty bad ass in a V8 Z...... www.gearvendors.com Jake
Mike kZ
They are very cool, but very expencive. Plus the added length, and width in the tunnel would be difficult. A V8 driveshaft is very short, and with a gearvendor, it would be around 12" or less long!
dr_hunt
A muncie is not a high torque capable transmission, about 400 lb-ft is about the limit, not like the TKO 500 or 600. For the money you'll have in the muncie and the Gear Vendors, can't you buy a TKO and have the OD already?
cybermecium
I meant to say Muncie M22- the "Rock Crusher" Money issue isn't really a big problem with the GV unit. I want 8 gears just to say I have 8 gears, I don't race or anything. It's pure "Cool Factor" Jake
