typhoone
thank you all for your help. I have actually decicded to go with a 350 sbc for a couple reasons. 1) I can get one from a buddy for $100. 2) I can get a friend to rebuild it for free. 3) I can get the transmission from the junkyard down the road and get my buddy to build that up as well. 4) As long as I help on the install and pay for the parts fabrication my buddy won't charge me for the install. 5) In the end it will cost less to get more power out of that motor. 6) If, God forbid. I ever blow that motor up, I can get it rebuilt for a lot cheaper than a vg30et. once again, thank you for all the help. See you on the other forums. Alex_V
how much for your turbo if it works? ~Alex
typhoone
lol, that's one of the reasons that i have decided to go with the sbc. The guy who had this car before me was a retard, the oil pressure light turned on one morning, he parked it, then wound up yanking the motor, and neglected to tell me that he had sold the turbo before he sold me the car.....WTF? I got the motor, and all kinds of parts that came out of it when he yanked it, but no turbo........but yeah. i will probably sell the motor, all that is really wrong with it, to my knowledge, is that the oil pump died. But he didn't tell me that he sold the turbo, so i am sure there is something else he neglected to tell me. lol. it is a good core for a rebuild, i am sure of that. But yeah, if you are interested in that let me know. lol
