PapaCreech Posted November 8, 2006 Share Posted November 8, 2006 Wife has a pontiac grand prix se motor in her olds oh yeah its bad. but anyways its doing strange stuttering things now and dying if you put laod on the motor at idle Example-> while at idle putting the power steering under strain can kill it. Check Engine light does come on sporadicly when it starts stuttering that is. any suggestions? naviathan Posted November 9, 2006 Share Posted November 9, 2006 Pontiacs are well known for bad MAP sensors and throttle sensors. I had a grand am that had both go bad. My 88 cutlass had all those problems.That and JiffyLube mixing the 3 and 4 cylindar plugs, with the previous owners. Burnt out a damn valve. Drives fine now.
