neorazz
ok i have this blower in my 83 280zx http://i5.ebayimg.com/02/i/08/90/45/1f_1.JPG is this just for cooling the actual injetors ? i took out the stock fuel trombone and put in a fuel rail you can see the rail thru the turbo vent in the hood so i would think enough air should be passing over the area at speed so unless you were gunning it and then dead stopping what does anyone think ? ok to remove i havent seen this in any of the motor pics but im not sure if other years needed it also i may get larger injectors what other vehicles have ijectors with more cc that fit the l28 ? i though i read somewhere the neons i'm looking to go to a megasquirt system and if i can find the right injectors ill see if i can get the harness section too or are injector harness connectors similar ? COZY Z COLE
All 280ZX'S have it. It's called the auxiliary cooling fan. It comes on after you shut the engine off and runs for about 15 min. to aid in starting a hot engine. It cools the fuel to the injectors and in them. If you turn your car back on before that time the fan shuts off. LARRY
neorazz
i guess it hasn't been hot enough to turn on or it's defective
COZY Z COLE
The engine coolant temp has to be above 221*F for it to come on. LARRY
