piston
ive been looking around on other sites regarding the installation of the apexi safc on the lt1/ls1. according to them, the maf on the ls and lts wont throw the right signal for the safc to be able to tune the car or even work with the engine. but then i come across to see that alot of the misubishi guys runs the ls1/lt1 maf as an upgrade and still able to use the apexi safc? has anyone here themself or know of anyone who has sucessfully installed an apexi safc onto an lt1 or ls1 pcm and have it to funtion properly? i ask the question because i have on laying around from my old project and thought it might be cool to use it to control my fuel curves on the lt1. the signals and all looks like it would work but the maf signal seems to be too much for the safc to calculate. i heard someone mention it would need a maf translator to make it work. what is that? let me know what you guys know!!! 80LS1T
Why do you want to use this fuel controller when you can buy software that allows you to edit the whole PCM for like $90(tunercat). I know you already have it but it seems like "waste of time" when you can get good software for cheap. If you have a laptop and a wideband 02 sensor your pretty much set to go. piston
i just thought itll be cool to have the safc sitting on the dash...im going to use tuner cat to tune it eventually. i was just wondering if it was possible for the safc to work on the lt/ls engine. i already have the safc sitting here, might sell it anyways. i might just hook it off the map sensor wire to see if itll work anyways. all for loks only. thanks.
