fl327
yes its me, cheap ass once again. hey i grabbed these four lug 300zx rotors with davy the other day, hub and all, does anyone know what type of spacer would make these fit with the 4x4 swap. the spacer would be different in this case because i do have the 300zx four lug hubs. In the articles that I have read, as I'm doing the same swap, it is recommended that a spacer of 1/2 " be used and then center caliper over rotor with shimming washers at the caliper bolt mounts.Let me know how the system works!! fl327
i thought they only need a 1/2 spacer if you use the 240 hubs?
Trevor
I LOOKED at 300ZX hubs just long enough to see that they have far less material in contact with the rotor (or spacer for the early car) so I didn't bother to measure and went with the 280 hubs. A really cheap source for the spacer (about 3/8" thick) is the top of the hat from a worn-out 280Z rotor. It's already machined with the 5 holes for 4 lugs and spindle
Guest scca
removing the top off a stock rotor will work for a 280 hub but this is like 6.5mm thick and it really needs to be 8mm to be perfectly centered. i've used this before but its also uglier than using a nice piece of 6" billet as the spacer
Guest scca
its bigger than a 1/2" spacer with 240 hubs and smaller if you have 280 hubs. you should need no washers on the calipers if you make the correct spacer thickness
