1996 Nissan 2wd Pickup 4 cyl

I'm looking at this truck. Its got 96K on it looks to be in pretty good shape. Not a king cab, just a plain old short ped. Only a two owner, original FL truck.

 

Is it worth $3200? According to KBB it is not, $2500 or so. Checked ebay and not a lot for this year but the few I found were in the 25-2700 range.

 

Is the 4 cyl in these trucks pretty stout? Timing chain?

 

I'm wondering if KBB takes into account the demand for small, good running, little trucks?

 

Any advice? Thoughts?

 

Any major concerns, known problems? Things to look for?

Awesome trucks, very good motors (chain I believe) and quite a tough little packege. I had a 2wd and a 4x4 with the V6, but the 4 cyl is no slug and gets good milage too. Only thing that is flakey is the auto trannys... I'd stay away from that, but evrything else about these trucks can really take a beating. I don't think it's worth $3200.. MAYBE if the body is absolutly flawless and the tailgate is good. (they are hard to find, and a pain to work if they get a ding in the wrong spot.) But it'd have to be really overall nice condition.
