Guest 400 ci 280z
i just realized that when i jacked the right side of the car up the passanger door shifted up (to the point that i couldnt open the door). could this be because my frame rails are weak? or something else. also does anybody know how to take those chrome drip rails off with out cutting them off? Tim240z
Most cars will twist when jacked on one side. If it stays that way after you let it down, then start worrying. Tim
Guest 400 ci 280z
it comes back down a little but the door is still higher than it is supposed to be. could it be that i need to adjust the door?
DavyZ
On a 280Z, I would be surprised if the door did not shut (well) after you let it down. Were you using the factory jack in the proper place (there is a proper place to jack the car up BTW)??? It should not have bent the frame or the door in anyway after letting the car down. Give the car a few days of cornering and driving to see if it 'settles' any and improves the gap. Weird. Davy

Guest 400 ci 280z
i think it just needs to be alined because it has rubbed a little against the chrome drip rail. once i got it back on its wheels it went back to the way it was before. if someon thinks it is something else feel free to.
