Guest 280ZForce
yes, it should handle it just fine as long as you keep your AFRs are safe. man you are running some high arse gears for a turbo car. what kinda track car?

melfice_mx
thx all of you. here in tijuana we only have a 1/8 mile track, and thats where i race my car... on streetfire you can search for tijuana and see some vids... i just swaped the 4.11 diff in and the car feels much better than with the 3.54 gears, its harder to get traction but i'm gonna run with slicks so i'm not worried... 510six
What are you going to use to track the engines A/F ratio? You might find the limits of your clutch and tranny spraying on a turbo motor esp. on slicks.I made 260rwh and 280fpt on a all junkyard parts 3 liter and ran mid 12`s.With a small T4/T4 turbo (12psi boost) and a 60rwh shot the car ran 12 flat.Spraying on a turbo car is kinda like 2 + 2 = 5,it`s impressive. melfice_mx
i have a racing clutch(custom made here in TJ) but it holds really good, i'm TRYING to track the AF ratio with just a narrow band A/F meter, i know it sux but i always try to keep it on the rich side.. http://videos.streetfire.net/search/tijuana/0/1759027c-a321-42d0-be17-714f442fdaf7.htm http://videos.streetfire.net/search/tijuana/0/5a56b989-7c91-4f6f-a3d4-eed3268d836a.htm http://videos.streetfire.net/search/tijuana/0/27e32052-59ba-4191-97cb-bf9505b91aa1.htm http://videos.streetfire.net/search/tijuana/0/3aff699d-1910-4162-91eb-d358c221efdb.htm
510six
The problem is that at above 300fpt with a 280zx 5 speed tranny the reliabilty level goes way down. But, you can give it a shot .At worst you will just break a transmission, or more likely break a U joint in the driveline. On slicks, you have to consider the weak points in a driveline.
