Guest steven96
I was wondering how to fix this or what happened. I had been going quite fast over 100+ in it then I stopped to get a coffee. When I came back out it was flat, so i fixed it with a plug and inflated with fix a flat. Well since then it wobbles and you can feel it in the steering. Any help would be very thanked. CruxGNZ
Sounds like your Fix-a-Flat puddled inside the tire. Need to clean that stuff out. Or the plug you used really offset the balance of the tire, but I doubt it . I don't think you going 100+mph had much to do with your tire going flat, you may have run over something in the parking lot of the coffee place. In the mean time, keep your speeds down 'till you get the tire checked out. A little advice, if you bring the tire in to a tire place, tell them you used Fix-a-Flat to fill it up, they will thank you for telling them when they take the valve out and de-bead the tire, trust me. !M! Guest Anonymous
Or the tire just threw a weight. Have it rebalanced (and maybe as Matt said check it for f-a-flat damage, I'd stay away from the stuff personally) and it'll probably stop. My fix a flat story was my foolishly trying to put fix a flat in on a tire that had worn the inside of the tire out. (bad ball joint on a old Chevy II) I was pissed at the time (Sacramento Ca. in the summer with no air, about 105 degree's and walking on the freeway! ) but thinking back it was rather amusing watching fix a flat run all over the hiway. Once I saw the hole I laughed, you could almost slide your hand in the hole. Regards, Lone
Tim240z
Also, keep in mind that F-a-F is meant as a temporary fix in an emergency. Use it only to get you to a repair facility. It will almost always create a dynamic imbalance to a tire, which if driven for a long period like that will damage your wheel bearings. I actually carry repair plugs with me, and not aerosols. Although this will not help if I'm miles away from a compressor/service station. Just my 2c. Tim
