Scottie-GNZ
I am helping a buddy build a GN-powered 2nd-gen RX-7 and we just upgraded it to the 4-piston, aluminum calipers. Those are some impressive looking units and we have a spare set. Is this not one of the options we have for swapping onto the 1st-gen Zs? Anyone know the scoop on this swap, particularly the biggest rotor that could be used with it? The Vette rear rotor is 11.4" so something close to that would be nice. Guest scca
they look nice and are light but finding used in good cond is tough. they corrode real bad. the bolt circle is like 5.75" ?? no where near and they will allow about a 11.5od rotor. i hadnt found a oem rotor like the 300 that would work with them cheap. it got into 2 piece rotors and at that point they are only marginally cheaper than buying new outlaw 2800's IF you could find a oem rotor to use "as is" with no mods and just a plate adapter to mount it -- that would be a good conversion. i gave up on them when i got 4 pairs locally and all were sticking. and the rebuild price wasnt cheap..
