280zwitha383
And before anybody says just go to the parts store please seriously reconsider as this is the most obvious answer but the tards there don't have any AND this is somewhat of a sore spot. I've tried every single one at O'reilly's, Advance and Autozone. I did find a oil filler cap years ago that fit but I haven't been able to do that again AND the cap has the part #'s on it. There were some gas caps on ebay before but for some reason I didn't get any and now there's one for $38 and I would have to bid on the other. What's the deal?! I know there are a couple dozen of these cars in town, it's not like I'm the only one with them. Why doesn't anyone have a gas cap for them? Guest Mike
You Midland boys sure are high-strung, ain't ya'll? Take a deep breath and count to ten. If that don't help, you can always go outside and shoot sumthin', then tank down a quart of good ol' Texas redeye. When you've simmered down a bit, come back and check yer post. I'll take a look at yonder parts bins.

Have you ordered these? I've tried the ones at Autozone (like I said every one on the shelf). If these work then I would be somewhat happier and less dicontent. AK-Z
Just make sure its the right one. I have 2x 280Zs (I know its not a ZX, but....) and they both have 2 totally different gas caps. Good luck
spork
Try the salvage yards and PAY for the gas cap. How much work and money are you willing to spend to save the few dollars of not buying one off e-bay? After all, driving around looking for gas caps from parts store to parts store costs you something and you seem awfully frustrated over it. I agree that $38 is kinda spendy for a gas cap, but if you can't find one, it's probably worth it.
