I might buy this car it needs body work, wheels, ECT. so what do you think of this? how much hp do you think this would have? and any suggustons about this or any ideas would be a great help thanks. DavyZ
Sounds like a drivetrain for a drag car. What are the cam specs? Davy
Guest norcoone
There are no cam specs. How much HP and torque do you guys think this will have? and what do you think of using this just as a street car?
naviathan
Ok, with all that work and no cam specs there's no way to tell what kind of ponies it's pushing out. Every engine is different. Could be 250hp could be 400hp. What's the asking price on the car?
Guest norcoone
ok I got the Cam specs....duration, advertised Int.292 degrees;Exh. 300 degrees;@.050, intake 232 degrees, Exh. 234 degrees, Lift @valves Int. .488 degrees, Exh .488 degrees; Center Line lobe 108 degrees. The cam is the specs recomended by Edelbrock to match the torker2 manifold.

The cam determines what rpm range the power is coming on. Your cam is aggressive. Assuming that your heads are stock ones with larger valves, I'd say that your combo is in the high 300 hp to 400 hp range on pump gas. With good heads, like AFRs, the higher end of the scale may be appropriate, maybe low 400's. Torque should be 350 ft/lb or a bit higher. The motor is made for drag racing, but the heads will make or break it in my opinion. Again, I'm guessing since I don't have the software, but I think I'm fairly close.
