AK-Z
I ask because I want to be clear and which direction I should go as far as engine managment goes. I don't want to find out that I need to take out the EMS after I I have inspections done to have it road worthy. BTW my setup I'm thinking about running is: ka24de (stock) a turbo of some sort. FMIC 370 cc injectors custom exhaust/ manifold everything else is pretty much stock
mario_82_ZXT
Not that I know of... I know that some Swedish (I think... maybe some other place in Europe) Volvo guys do is place the MS board into the original ECU box with the original plug and run everything almost exactly like factory (harness etc included). Apparentyl you can tune MS to pass emissions with just a catalystic converter. Even your KA swap won't be legal in a lot of places unless you swap in ALL the factory emissions equipment (at least thats what I understand of it...). It might be different in Alaska though... linluv84
My MS passes emissions without even a cat. Basically I had the dyno guys hook it up to a 5 gas and get the emissions to a minimum under no load conditions up to about 2800 rpm. Obviously this approach only works for non obd vehicles in states that dont do that dyno emessions testing crap...
